Tough topic but education of it is saving souls...

Hello good peple.  How I love Michael Voris & his bravery at address the tough, moral topics of our day.  God bless him for addressing this one.  It's a tough conversation to have BUT I must be honest…I've never in MY 42 years heard this topic actually explained WHY this act was so sinful.  I sent this series privately to loved ones & then thought better of it...although difficult to discuss, the message is for everyone.  This increasingly difficult, secular & sexually enticing world can be overwhelming….check out this series (in order) of short video's from my buddy Voris on this subject.

God bless you & please share with your loved ones.  If you love them, you will want to save their souls!

The Simplicity of Catholicism

I do love my dear friends who offer to be my contributors for this blog.  Tricia, a wonderful, Traditional Catholic who stands in solidarity with me on almost all positions, sent me this wonderful piece today from "Catholic Vote" that I felt I just had to share.

I feel as if I could have wrtten a very similar piece because of how strongly I agree with the author. Although Catholicism can seem daunting due to the sheer volume of material one could immerse themself in, in learning about it BUT I ask you to think about Mary & her visitations...she has almost always made herself known to the most simple & uneducated people.  Yes religion, theology, polictics and philosophy are topics that many think are reserved for the great minds...but if one really stops to think about it....once one learns the basics, our beautiful faith is so simple and the perfect blueprint on how to live a happy, uncomplicated life.  The more I have learned about our faith, the happier I have become.  I must admit, I have never been accused of being a depressed or depressing person BUT  I have never felt so much freedom, so much clarity, so much patience and so much acceptance in my life.  Since my family's recent hardships I have come to so much clarity THROUGH Catholicism...I cannot think of a scenario my family could not overcome...not because we are "strong" people but because we have been blessed with understanding. This life, it's hardships & joys all seem to make so much sense to me now & God's plan for us seems to continue to unfold.  Life is so black & white if you follow it by the blueprint of our faith.  There is no reason to get muddled up in the grays...Satan is who wants us to stop & give credence to "grays" presented in this secular world we live in.  The more we are bombarded with the mesages of seculaism, the more numb we become to the realities of grave sin that lie within them.  Even so many of our priests and bishops won't touch on grave moral topics in fear they could get in trouble for mixing Church & State...again...what is wrong & what is right (black & white)?  It is as simple as that?  This is the compass that should direct us all and secularism will continue to paint bad as good & good as bad.  I had a secular friend ask me recently "I'm asking you this for no other reason than because I'm really curious of your answer. If a cure for your son's cancer through embryonic stem cell research was discovered tomorrow..would you use it to save his life?" My answer of course was "Unequivocally, no.  Why?  Because 1) Science has proven life at conception 2) ALL Orthodox faiths believe humans are given souls at conception and condem abortion, embryonic manipulation & destruction 3) If these two truths are true then how many millions of babies had to die to give MY child life? That is completely immoral & unacceptable 4) If someone is a Christian and believes Christ gave His life in sacrifice so all of us had a chance to live eternally, how could one human ask another to sacrifice their human life so my human existence (or a loved ones) could live on...it is completely anti-Christianity from it's very core and 5) the big picture is...this human life we have now will last us what?  80 years if we're lucky? It is a mere blip on the radar screen of our entire existence of ETERNITY.  To take another's human life so I or my loved one could keep our human form longer than God had originally intended is the ultimate sin of selfishness.  Our minds should ALWAYS be thinking about the big picture and how our mere 80 years on this earth (God willing) should be spent in prepartation for our next step.  One would think that they would want to spend as little time a possible in Purgatory so we'd better make the BEST run of it here on Earth as we possibly can.  Think...if I ever accepted an embryonic stem cell cure for my boy....yes, he may be able to keep his human life for another 70 years (maybe) but I have definitely condemned myself to hell for my selfishness which means all I will have ever had with my boy was maybe 40 years if I live that long?  I want the whole enchilada folks...I want my 40 years here on earth with my kids AND I want eternity with them in Heaven...
We are given such an easy equation to follow. Do we get the equation wrong at times, of course we do, but we have the gift of Reconciliation...simplify your lives friends.  Embrace your faith 100% and life becomes easy because we are told exactly what to do & that path is very, very good.  There is no sense in "Catholic Guilt" due to making mistakes...God provided for us by giving us Reconciliation.  Guilt is a silly, human condition we have created for ourselves and an excuse to turn our back on our faith.  Self-loathing Catholics are weak and cannot accept the consequences of their actions, admit they have sinned against God & easily rectify it by the holy sacrament of Confession and move on to try & sin no more.
Like the writer of this piece here...I LOVE being weird.

I Urge You to Spend the 3 Minutes...

I know I usually stick to MOSTLY Catholicism here & if I enter into the realm of politics, it is when politics overlap into our faith...but today, today I ask you to watch this short video to help you remember the past 3.5 years of your life & ask yourself...are you better off than you were 3.5 years ago?

I find the graph on the upper half of the video COMPELLING as it charts unemployment, gas prices and the national debt....just amazing

So Sorry I've Been Away

Sorry good people, I know I haven't been around much recently bringing you your regular dose or Traditional Catholicism...my husband has actually landed a job & we have been transitioning into our new shedule. I had to finish up my stint at my part time job and come home to my boy who is still in his battle against beating cancer & my daughter. So hopefully, I will be able to settle into this newest major change this week.  God is so good to my family.  He will usher us into this new phase of life.  My son will HOPEFULLY be finished with his lengthy treatment sessions in June.We have been enjoying him feeling well in this newest wave of  Spring weather this past week. If you are in the Northeast, I hope you have too.

I was sent this WONDERFUL homily on the HHS policy.  Please pray for this good & brave priest & may many more step forward with loud & clear voices and actions.  It's time to save our Church good people.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltTd81XpDnc&feature=youtu.be
